Our story
Mapsa Group is the story of a family from Malaga that, already in its second generation, continues the development of a multinational company that combines past, present and future, always maintaining the motto “work and quality”.
In 1987 Miguel Ángel Palomo established MAPSA with the conviction that texturized foods would be the key to modern nutrition. At the Dos Hermanas facilities in Seville, a story of endeavour and perseverance begins. In a short time, MAPSA has become a leader in the sector and a benchmark for quality and trust in the world of food, especially in the green olive sector, which sees in MAPSA products the door to modernization.
With the firm belief that the future lies in development, in 2000 a new facility was opened in the Andalusia Technology Park, located in Malaga. The heart of the company was established here, housing the Group’s headquarters, as well as thee warehouses, laboratories and R&D department.
Following the success of the company in Spain and the high international demand for the products, MAPSA decides to start producing abroad. In 2012 new facilities open in Thessaloniki, Greece, under MAPSA-HELLAS and shortly after, in 2016 in Turkey under IBITEK. Thus, begins a rapid international expansion, allowing the customers a guarantee of quality and service that characterize MAPSA and its products.
Today, Rocío Palomo and Miguel Palomo Jr. run the company successfully, always setting increasingly higher and more ambitious goals, but faithful to the ideals and values of the company; family, work and quality.
